Product Description

Trinity Ceiling Fan Extension Rod to Suit the Three Sixty Trinity and Kute DC Ceiling Fans. The extension rod replaces the standard rod provided with the fan to give you a larger ceiling to blade drop, making the fan more suitable for a higher than standard ceiling.

These extension rods are available in a fixed size and can be cut to size by the installer if shorter rods are required.

General recommendations

• Australian Safety Standards require your ceiling fans blades to be at least 2.1m (210 cm) from the floor.
• Increasing the amount of space above your ceiling fan will generally result in better performance (airflow).
• The ideal distance from the floor to the blades of your ceiling fan is between 210 cm and 270 cm for optimal performance.

Standard ceilings (2.4m to 2.8m)

• Your ceiling fan includes a downrod which is suitable for most standard ceiling heights in Australia.
• For low ceilings (2.4m) refer to your ceiling fans data sheet (listed under Specifications on the website) and confirm that the height from ceiling to the bottom of the fan blades will not cause your fan to go under the 2.1m minimum height.

High ceilings (2.9m to 3.7m)

• We recommend adding a 90 cm downrod to your ceiling fan. Depending on your ceiling height, you likely won’t need the full 90 cm downrod length. Your installing electrician can cut the downrod as required.
• As a guideline, we recommend trying to position the fan between 240 cm and 270 cm from the floor.

Very high ceiling (3.9m and higher)

• We recommend adding a 180 cm Trinity Ceiling Fan Extension Rod to your ceiling fan. Depending on your ceiling height, you may not need the full downrod length. Your installing electrician can cut the downrod as required.
• Also, As a guideline, we recommend trying to position the fan between 240 cm and 270 cm from the floor.
